This is a report of the work done on Columbia River flood control for the 1948 high water. The river rose from 336 ft M.S.L. (May 12) to 357.1 ft (June 12), which is 37.1 ft above normal winter low. It could have been worse (it was lower than the 1894 flood), and a follow-up of the contacts established during the emergency is recommended.
