Instrumentation and Behavior of Prestressed Concrete Pavements
The report describes in detail the development and implementation of an instrumentation program used to monitor the behavior of the experimental prestressed pavement. The measurements taken include continuous measurement of ambient and concrete temperatures, horizontal slab movement, slab curling, and concrete strain. Data are also presented on tendon elongation, very early concrete strength, concrete modulus of elasticity, and slab cracking.
