American Housing Survey for the Baltimore Metropolitan Area in 1991. Current Housing Reports
The report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1991 American Housing Survey Metropolitan Sample for the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The metropolitan area was represented by a sample of 3,640 designated housing units. The sample size was divided between the central city and the balance of the area based on the proportionate distribution of all housing units in the entire area. The sample was selected from units enumerated in the 1990 census and updated to include units constructed since 1990. Statistics on the total housing inventory, including vacant units, cover general housing characteristics, condition and quality of the unit and the neighborhood, size of the unit and lot, equipment and fuels, and financial characteristics. The same data are provided on total occupied housing units, owner-occupied housing units, renter-occupied housing units, occupied housing units with a black householder, and occupied housing units with a household of Hispanic origin. Data on the various occupied housing units also cover household composition and recent movers.
