The Preferential Mail Facility will be located in the city of Hartford, county of Hartford, in the state of Connecticut. The facility will essentially be a single floor operation with public lobby and multi-story office area. Truck platforms will be located on the west side of the structure. The building has been designed and located on the site to permit maximum maneuverability of vehicles to and from the platform and parking areas into adjacent traffic patterns. The building, including the enclosed carrier parking area will have a ground floor area of approximately 283,000 square feet. Environmental impacts are discussed.
