The factual information, findings, and conclusions may also be useful to builders, mortgagees, and others concerned with local housing market conditions and trends. The analysis does not purport to make determinations regarding the acceptability of mortgage insurance proposals that may be under consideration in the housing market area. The Lynchburg, Virginia Housing Market Area (HMA) is composed of the independent cities of Lynchburg and Bedford, and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell. For purposes of this analysis, the HMA has been divided into three submarkets: the city of Lynchburg; the Bedford area, consisting of the city of Bedford and Bedford County; and the Remainder of the HMA, consisting of Amherst, Appomattox, and Campbell Counties.
