Water Permeability of Frozen Sand (O Vodopronitsaemosti Merzlogo Peska)
The total amount of water and ice in frozen sand several hours after the test always remained considerably higher than the capillary moisture capacity of unfrozen sand. This is not without interest because one can easily imagine a process of considerable supersaturation of frozen sand as a result of alternating freezing and thawing. (Author)
