Interior Partition and Basement Shelter Experiments
A series of interior partition and basement shelter experiments have been performed, emphasizing below ground detector positions. Measurements were made on eleven structure combinations using CO-60 sources at ground level to simulate 'fallout' contamination. Test structures consisted of 6-foot ID exterior and 3-foot ID interior concrete walls, in conjunction with corresponding 6 and 3 foot diameter horizontal members. (Author)
