Operation and Maintenance of the Anchorage Harbor, Anchorage, Alaska
The Anchorage Harbor is an existing corps of engineers deep draft harbor. Maintenance of the project is performed by the corps and includes the dredging and disposal of approximately 60,000 cubic yards of silt material annually. Presently identifiable adverse effects include disruption of water-land interface, temporary increase in water turbidity, and possible contribution to the failure of the adjacent land mass.
