Dynamic Properties of a Thirty-Story Condominium Tower Building
The results of forced and ambient vibrations studies of a thirty story condominium building, constructed using a concrete ductile moment resistant space frame are presented. Dynamic characteristics, such as resonant frequencies, damping, and vertical and horizontal mode shapes of the structure were determined and correlated with analytical results using the computer program SAP-80. Rigid floor diaphragm action was noted at higher frequencies and very little structure foundation interaction was observed.
