Concrete and Epoxy Materials Compared; Load Properties, Durability, and Volume Change
Laboratory tests of the physical properties of epoxy mortars and epoxy concretes were conducted to determine the structural compatibility of these materials with portland cement concretes. Tests indicate good structural compatibility of physical properties except for thermal expansion and other volume changes. Epoxy mortars and concretes possess almost no measurable creep at zero deg F, but have compressive creep and elasticity characteristics at 73 deg F very close to portland cement concrete. (Author)
