A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Nearly all readily accessible geotechnical data have been stored, bringing the data base to nearly 10000 sets. Several types of statistical operations were undertaken on the data, including median model characterizations of frequency distributions and regression analysis to produce soil parameter prediction. The most difficult aspect of statistical operation on the data is selection of the appropriate data population or grouping. Data have been treated in the following groups: state-wide, physiographic section, parent material area, AASHTO classification, and certain combinations thereof.
