Energy Efficient Design of New Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings. (ASHRAE Standard)
The purposes of this standard are to: (a) set minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of new buildings so that they may be constructed, operated, and maintained in a manner that minimizes the use of energy without constraining the building function nor the comfort or productivity of the occupants; (b) provide criteria for energy-efficient design and methods for determining compliance with these criteria; and (c) provides sound guidance for energy-efficient design.
