Structural Behavior of the Homewood Bridge after Fourteen Years Traffic
The purpose of the research is to measure primary and lateral flange bending strains in the bottom flanges of a composite curved girder bridge. The location of the neutral axis was calculated. The dynamic impact factor and the natural frequency were also measured. These measurements were compared with similar measurements made shortly after the bridge was erected. The primary change noted was a slight lowering of the neutral axis.
