This paper introduces an appropriate technology developed in Mexico, related to Coastal Engineering. It describes briefly different systems that make it feasible to control erosion from beaches, to construct breakwaters, jetties and groins. The introduction of this appropriate technology optimize the employment of an unskilled labor force.
