Learning from Fire: A Fire Protection Primer for Architects
The report presents the findings of a major study concerning fire research. It presents a framework for the integration of fire safety issues within the larger context of the architectural design process. The issues, vocabulary, concepts and approaches relevant to the architect are presented. In introducing a systematic and theory-based approach to design for fire safety in buildings, the report provides the architect with the knowledge and the vocabulary needed to communicate effectively with fire protection engineers and building officials.
