A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The aim of this R & D project was to improve the implementability of masonry and plaster work in cold weather conditions as well as to reduce the uncertainty related to the planning and performance of these jobs. The project looked into the problems encountered in masonry and plaster work in winter by interviewing the employees of Finnish construction companies engaged in such work. The key problem areas in winter-time implementation are work planning, control of working conditions and flow of information within companies.
