The St. Louis Region Water and Sewerage Facilities
The report represents the results of work in maintaining an areawide water/sewer/storm drainage facilities planning program for the St. Louis, Missouri Region. These efforts have produced a strong policy foundation organized in the form of a regional goal to focus the Council's direction in maintaining a planning program for water/sewer/storm drainage improvements over a long-range period. The report also contains definitions of technical terminology, population projections by watershed, descriptions of various available methods of sewage treatment and analysis of the natural characteristics of the Region which provide problems and potentials for water resources development and water pollution abatement. Existing facilities for water supply sanitary sewage treatment and storm drainage were analyzed in detail. (Author)
