A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
In the paper the following are discussed: What concrete is, an indication how, because of its nature, it may manifest an infinite range of environmental effects that may influence its performance; Some features of the state of knowledge of the consequences of the interaction of concrete properties with environmental conditions; and a proposal that, asking the proper questions regarding the extension of this knowledge is a delineation of the unsolved problems in predicting the behavior of concrete.
