This is a technical document prepared for use in the preservation of a significant historical resource. It describes the structural development of Pier 1 and Pier 2, while placing that development in a historical context. Pier 1 is a solid wharf bounded by a concrete arch zone that extends along the east side and outboard end of the pier. Pier 2 of the Dry Dock is a timber pile wharf located immediately east. This report describes the structural development of the structures.
