The report presents the results of an intensive field study of archeological and architectural resources in the various communities of Fire Island. This volume is divided into two sections--the results of the Archeological Survey and the Architectural Survey. The archeological survey identifies twenty-one zones of potential archeological sensitivity. The architectural survey undertaken to identify and assess historic or architecturally significant structures includes detailed Architectural Inventory forms for 168 structures.
