Geotechnical Aspects of Hackroy Sandy Loam and Crushed Tuff
Important geotechnical properties that should be tested before construction and operation of a low-level waste disposal site include hydraulic conductivity, consolidation, and shear strength of the soils of interest in that low-level waste disposal site. Because hydraulic conductivity of Bandelier tuff and adjacent soils has been the subject of exhaustive studies, this report will concentrate on consolidation and shear stress of the above-mentioned porous media. 9 references, 11 figures, 7 tables.
