Polymer Modified Steel Fibre Concrete
The aim of the research program is to determine in an experimental way to which extend the bond between fibers and matrix is influenced by polymer addition. The measurements that will be made and compared are flexural tensile strength, tensile splitting strength and compression strength of cement concrete, cement concrete modified by latex, cement fibre concrete and cement fiber latex concrete. From load-deflection curves the toughness will be calculated. Air content and workability and their dependence on water-cement ratio during the preparation of latex modified concrete with and without fibers will be discussed as well.
