Seismic Stability Evaluation of Alben Barkley Lock and Dam Project. Volume 3. Field and Laboratory Investigations
The Alben Barkley Lock and Dam Project, located on the Cumberland River approximately 25 miles upstream of Paducah, Kentucky, has been the subject of extensive field and laboratory investigations designed to provide stratigraphic and strength information essential to the completion of a seismic stability evaluation of the project, deemed necessary since the project lies near the boundary between Seismic Zones 2 and 3 as defined in Engineer Regulation 1110-2-1806. This report is one in a series of reports pertaining to this evaluation. It is primarily a geotechnical data report. Analysis of the data is presented in later reports in this series. (fr)
