The proposed highway improvement develops the existing two-lane travelway of State Highway 71 to a four-lane divided highway facility from Rocky Creek (2.5 Miles East of La Grange) to the Colorado County Line, for a distance of 10.0 Miles. The proposed travelway passes through the communities of Halsted and Gay Hill, and the town of Ellinger, in Fayette County, Texas. Span bridges at Rocky, Baylor, and Cedar Creeks. No interchanges. A summary of environmental impacts and adverse environmental effects is presented.
