M577 Fuze Product Improvement Program. Redesigned Barrel Housing
The objective of this task was to redesign the barrel housing for the M577 fuze using an alternate material and process in an effort to lower the cost of producing the barrel housing. The proposed design replaces the machined stainless steel barrel housing with a ZA 12 die barrel housing.
