Measured Performance of 50 Passive Solar Residences in the United States
This paper summarizes the thermal performance of 50 passive solar residences in a variety of US locations. These buildings were monitored as part of the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) Residential Class B Passive Solar Performance Monitoring Program. The paper describes the monitoring and performance evaluation methods and presents the overall heating season performance of the buildings in graphical form. Some general conclusions from these results and the validity of extrapolating such conclusions to passive solar buildings in general is discussed. (ERA citation 09:018373)
