The study was to determine if tension losses measured for two years in comparatively stressed 270 ksi strand installed in each of six full size post-tensioned box girder highway bridges in California would support or challenge the increased prestress loss values estimated by the new formula contained in the 1971 AASHTO Interim Specifications.
