A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The study analyzes the existing and anticipated transportation system for the needs of the community throughout the Planning Period, or until 1985. It provides the basis for locating, widening, and improving existing and future streets and serves as a guide in the location of various facilities. This plan is guided by and related to the Richmond Land Use Plan. In addition, it provides a realistic estimate of traffic demand generated by present and future growth. It analyzes in general the parking situation in the city of Richmond and gives out an inventory of all existing parking facilities, with particular emphasis on space used in the retail business area.
