The Disposal of a Portion of Camp San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County, California
Proposed plans for disposal of this 1909.19-acre property include the following uses: negotiated sale of 47 acres to the county of San Luis Obispo for school purposes; conveyance of approximately 289.46 acres to the county of San Luis Obispo under Public Law 91-485 for park and recreation use; and sealed bid sale to the public of 1,572.73 acres. Disposal for school purposes will not change the present environment of the area. As to disposal for park purposes, the relative benefit to the community to be derived from this disposal action outweighs the environmental impact. The disposal by sealed bid to the public will not result in any immediate change in the area's environment; local antipollution and zoning regulations should provide orderly development of the area.
