Proposed Relocation of State Highway 35, From Dixie Drive to Almeda-Genoa Road, Harris County, Texas
The report describes the proposed state highway 35 relocation from Dixie Drive to Almeda-Genoa Road in the City of Houston. The proposed project will relieve overcrowded roads, reduce accidents, and provide faster and more efficient transportation. It would require relocation of 93 houses and 4 businesses and would use some of the land owned by the City of Houston, a portion of which is reserved for future development as F.M. Law Park although currently the site of the Municipal Prison Farm. Suitable replacement housing is available. The proposed highway will result in an area for future park development larger than originally planned.
