Field Measurements of the Sound Insulation of Floating Party Floors with a Solid Concrete Structural Base
This paper is concerned with floors with a solid concrete structural base, cast either in situ or in the form of room-sized precast slabs. Such floors differ from those with a hollow beam, or beam and hollow pot, structural base in several respects which might affect performance. Airborne insulation performance was found to be better than impact performance relative to the standard performance curves for all three groups of floors. (Copyright (c) British Crown Copyright.)
