Computer programs are used in order to calculate indoor temperatures, heating and cooling loads, as well as the energy consumption of rooms and buildings. The accuracy of such calculations depends on how elaborate the simulation of the room or the building is. This applies particularly to calculations of indoor temperatures and cooling loads. Different simulations models are discussed and compared with each other.
