Evaluation of Combination Insert and Sealant for Concrete Pavements
The primary objective of investigation is to evaluate under actual field conditions the performance of a combination insert and sealant for concrete pavements manufactured by the R. J. Company of Timonium, Maryland. In October, 1971, thirty transverse joints using this material were installed on a widening contract on I-95, north of Baltimore. No difficulties were encountered in installation. Visual observations were made in January and August of 1972, and the results are reported. After these experimental joints have been in for a few more years, final conclusions can be made as to their performance.
