Transportation Perspectives
The report studies the many aspects of transportation planning: organization, surveillence, reappraisal (plan update), service and implementation. Forecasts on which the existing Transportation Plan is based were evaluated: some were found to be reasonably valid, others are in need of updating, all need to be extended to maintain a twenty year planning horizon. The immediate task that lies ahead, in addition to the continuing functions of planning, is the update of the Transportation Plan which when completed will insure that Wichita will continue to have an accurate and sound basis on which to build for the future.
