Wilson-Fall Creek Road Cultural Resource Survey of Previously Unexamined Areas Along Wyoming Forest Highway 21, Teton County, Wyoming
Segments of the Wilson-Fall Creek Road totaling 3.9 km (2.4 miles) were surveyed for cultural resources in the early autumn of 1995. This survey resulted in the recording of two archeological sites, the identification of three potentially significant historic buildings, and the finding that a previously recorded archeological site may be impacted by the proposed construction. Additional work is recommended for all of these cultural resources if they are to be impacted by the construction. If the sites cannot be avoided, the additional work is to consist of archeological testing and impact mitigation. If the buildings cannot be avoided, additional research and HABS documentation is recommended. no further cultural resources work is recommended for the portions of the road corridor that were not found to contain archeological or historic properties.
