Accessible Towns. Workable Homes. Planning With Consideration for the Handicapped
A number of publications, issued by the National Swedish Building Research, have been dealing with the necessity of taking the needs of the handicapped into account when planning buildings and outdoor environments. Two of these will be published jointly in this Document. Both bear in mind that handicap is a combination of physical disability and deficiencies of the environment. Planners must therefore concentrate on providing both indoor and outdoor environments that are accessible to all groups of the population, including the 'handicaped'. (Author)
