Archeological Reconnaissance Survey of Seven Proposed Construction Areas, Lackland Training Annex and Air Force Base, Bexar County, Texas
The reconnaissance level survey of seven proposed construction areas on Lackland Air Force Base and the Lackland Air Force Base Training Annex, Bexar County, Texas, was conducted during the week of August 16-10, 1993, as part of the cultural resource assessment of the base and annex. The areas, approximately 11 hectares (27 acres), of the proposed Golf Course Maintenance Facility, Colocated Club, Visiting Officers Quarters, and Space Communications were investigated during this assessment survey. No cultural resources were identified during the survey of these areas and no further archeological investigations are recommended for these four locations. The areas proposed for the Wherry housing development, Combat Arms Training Facility, and the Prime Ribs Training Area will be investigated during the proposed archeological survey of the base and annex in the Winter of 1994.
