Elasto-Plastic Behavior of Shearwall with Rotational PC (Precast Concrete) Panel and Unbonded Steel Plate
The paper proposes a new type of PC (precast concrete) shearwall having excellent ductility and good energy absorption ability. The elasto-plastic behavior of the shearwall is investigated both experimentally and theoretically. The presentation concerns tests performed with a full-scale wall and 1/2-scale models of two-story, single-span frames. A simple and satisfactory design procedure for the shearwall is also proposed.
