In report KB-18 the derivation is given for the tilting load of a lattice with and without initial opening on the basis of the tilting equation for narrow girders. For relative loose connections and low torsal stiffness of the girders, this results in the calculation of the breaking strain of the cross girder according to the present calculation practice. For the two-field lattice girder a more accurate diagram is necessary for the determination of the breaking strain of the cross girder. Differentiation must be made between two-field and several-field lattice girders.
