The information presented herein provides the basis for evaluating future alterations that may be proposed for the Ranger Operations Building and will aid in the rehabilitation and stabilization of this significant park structure. As this building has been well-documented in the past for National Register and National Historic Landmark eligibility, no significant new information regarding the architectural significance of the building has been found. The project team has developed a more thorough analysis of the structure's place within the context of rustic architecture. Additionally, the previous documentation did not focus on the importance of a Park Headquarters' building to support the everyday function of the Grand Canyon national Park; this reports expands upon that aspect of the building's history.
