A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
In recent years considerable efforts have been taken to increase safety at work on construction sites. In this literature survey construction safety is discussed mainly in terms of occupational safety and health on construction sites. The survey gives basic information about safety legislation, incident causation, and safety performance in companies and on construction sites. The survey is based on information and research results published in the American literature. The aim of this study was to get acquainted with the basic knowledge of the safety culture in the construction industry in the United States.
