The Dynamic Shear Behavior of Seattle Clays
From a series of dynamic undrained triaxial tests the strength reduction under dynamic excitation in Seattle clays is dependent on the geologic soil stress history. The new research data provided will enable the engineer for the first time to determine the dynamic strength of Seattle soils as a function of precompression ratio. (Modified author abstract)
