Peer-Reviewed Articles - Assessing the Accuracy of National Land Cover Dataset Area Estimates at Multiple Spatial Extents - Accuracy of area estimates for different land-use-land-cover classes is shown to vary with the spatial extent of the sampling unit upon which the area measurement is determined, and relatively poor accuracy is found more often in smaller sampling units.
