The two companies noted they have successfully implemented a number of joint projects in recent years, thyssenkrupp provided the conveyor system for Xstrata Copper in the Antapaccay and Las Bambas copper mines in Peru; and Siemens provided thyssenkrupp with the direct drive for the world's largest conveyor belt.
