Resolute going underground at Syama
Resolute Mining is initiating development of an underground mine at its 80% owned Syama gold operations in south Mali. Processing operations at Syama include parallel sulphide and oxide processing plants that are currently processing materials from open-pit stockpiles and a satellite open pit. Preproduction capital costs to develop an underground mine blow the current open pit are estimated at $95 million, to be fully funded from Resolute's current balance sheet and future operating cash flows.
