2016 ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala Inspires Industry Members
Fred Meyer, ACI Board of Direction member, said he enjoyed being able to take part in the 2016 ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala, a celebration of exceptional innovation, engineering, and downright hard work in producing some absolutely amazing concrete projects. As one of the preeminent concrete institutes in the world, it is up to them to celebrate excellence in the concrete construction industry. George Seegebrecht, FACI, an active member on several ACI committees as well as a certification examiner for the Illinois Chapter -- ACI, served as the master of ceremonies for the event. The program honored projects from around the globe, including the Museo Internacional del Barroco, which received the first-place award in the Low-Rise Buildings category. The endorsement meant a great deal to those who accepted the award at the gala, as in many respects, they represented the thousands of engineers who have graduated from Mexico's universities.
