Analysis of Compressive Strength Development and Carbonation Depth of High-Volume Fly Ash Cement Pastes. Paper by Xiao-Yong Wang and Ki-Bong Park
The discussed paper proposes an interesting hydration model considering both cement hydration and high-volume fly ash (HVFA) reaction, which greatly contributes to the assessments of the strength development and carbonation resistance of concrete mixed with cement and HVFA. The discussers would like to thank the authors for providing such an impressive paper, and would also like to offer the following comments and questions -- mainly about the carbonation depth prediction models -- for their consideration and response. The authors are thankful for the kind discussion from Jiang and Gu. Their discussions are valuable for further studies about carbonation of concrete.
