Classroom Demonstrations Demonstrated
The ACI Concrete Convention and Exposition--Spring 2017, in Detroit MI, included a session titled "Classroom Demonstrations Demonstrated." Several educators shared interesting and effective physical models they use to teach concepts in concrete structures and materials in lecture-style classes. The session comprised demonstrations of models as well as time for attendees to view the demonstration materials up close and interact with the presenters. Here, Giannini et al discuss the purpose of this session which was to inspire current and future educators to enhance student learning in their classes using active learning approaches.
