Locating underground cavities by means of radio waves
Conclusions Experiments have shown that radio waves may be used with economical efficiency to find and outline ancient mine workings. The device developed at the Artem Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute is highly interference-free, stable, and reliable. It has been shown that the use of this method in combination with other methods of exploration, such as drilling, permits us to increase appreciably the accuracy and reliability of geologic exploration.
