Characteristic features of the anisotropy of fractured rock
Conclusions System fracturing of rock leads to orthotropy in the general case, and to transversal isotropy with subsequent conditions that can be superposed on the compression modulus in the special case.Expressions (5) for the components of the elasticity tensor and equations (9)–(11) of the relation between the elastic constants of the equivalent medium reflect the characteristic features of the real structure of rock.Resultant equations (18)–(21) make it possible to compute the stresses in rock masses with allowance for the anisotropy caused by fracturing.
